“Walk up and down the hall”, “hold out your arms”, “balance on one foot”, “stick out your tongue”! Chances are you have obediently complied with a few seemingly ridiculous commands from your neurologist at some point. Have you ever wondered what on earth they were looking for? Have you ever secretly hoped that it wasn’t just a cruel joke to make you look a little silly? People ask me all the time what exactly it is that I’m looking for when I ask them to perform these (sometimes) comical tasks- and I wanted to share that information with all of you.
